Let's Build a Bridge!

I want to build bridges both physically across 253 at the Swamp Rabbit Trail, but also socially across all of District 19!

OUR GOALS

* I want to build a walking bridge over 253. The Swamp Rabbit Trail is one of the many gems that Greenville County has, but it has faced its share of challenges. This particular stretch of road has been hazardous for walkers, bikers, and drivers. This would be another community led project in terms of aesthetics. It would allow for all traffic to flow safely while at the same time allowing everyone on the Swamp Rabbit Trail to be safe.

* More parks or enhancement to current parks. With as many residents as we know have in the district, it is a disservice to our youth and their families, not to have more places in which the community can gather to celebrate life the children’s laughter while playing and groups practicing community and fellowship through exercising, cooking, or simply reading a book on a blanket away from the hustle and bustle of the road ways.

* Many of the water towers in and around Greenville are an eyesore and desperately in need of a paint job.  We have an amazing and impressive Milltown history in Greenville. The Mills in Greenville are a rich source of the history that led Greenville to what it has become today!

My vision is to have the communities that make up each separate Milltown area, resurrect the history of what has been lost to expansion. I would love to work along side the community to restore these areas and give people from other areas a reason to visit Greenville. Here is an example of some of those projects I would propose:

Community artists design something that represents what that specific mill was known for before restoring and painting the water towers.  Brandon Mill, for example, would be a great place for a design paying tribute to the historic Mill and shoeless Joe Jackson or Monaghan Mill could be known as the historic Monaghan Mill at the Swamp Rabbit Trail. All of this as if a directional map for us to follow as we learn about the Mills rich history to Greenville

VIEWS ON A NATIONAL LEVEL

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

This is a right that should be protected for every human being. There is no speech that should be exempt to this amendment. It's up to the parents raising children to navigate the proper ways in which their own speak in both private and public capacity. It is not something the Government should have anything to intrude about.

THE 2ND AMENDMENT

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

I support the rights of all Americans to freely and with no restriction, practice their 2nd Amendment Rights. Not in the way of modern progressive group think, rather the exact way in which the founders intended.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED."

LESS IS MORE

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

I believe in a limited Government. The abuse of this has resulted in countless and careless spending that will plague generations to come. Government should have little to do with the lives of law abiding citizens who are simply trying to raise their families.

Basically, Government should be supplemental, and the voters should be the ones deciding when and how to provide the accurate supplementation!

A COMMUNITY SERVANT

TRUST THROUGH TRANSPARENCY

TRUST THROUGH TRANSPARENCY

I believe it will be my job as County Councilman to be active in community engagement. I have a plan that includes weekly digital meets, as well as monthly community meetings at local businesses,  to keep people in the loop on everything being brought to the table for District 19. This will also allow for more legitimate public opinion to be carried back to the Council Chamber.

I support financial transparency. I believe the tax dollars we spend in Government should practically be traceable from start to finish by the same citizens that pay them. I will do my best to ensure that the citizens are kept in the know about how their tax dollars are being used.

Our roads in the District are not in any way equipped to handle the already growing number of people coming into the area and need to be addressed to ensure that residents don't soon see an extra hour added on to their drive time to school and work!

I will be asking the state Highway department engineers to give us a plan to alleviate traffic congestion. Already the Cherrydale intersections are too crowded. The highway department needs a plan now for the future to a place we are not sitting in traffic waiting on a light to change four times before we can be on our way.

It's the personal connection to community that sets small business apart, and I will do my best to ensure that local entrepreneurs always have a place in our District while also fighting to ensure they are not bullied or treated unfairly by anyone seeking to deny them their ability to follow their dreams!
